2019 Fall Institute
The Fall Institute was a great success. We enjoyed fellowship, learning, changing of the leaves in the beautiful smoky mountains and more. 19 individuals gave blood some for the very first time. That is 57 lives saved! We collected 22.3 lbs of broken/used crayons for The Crayon Initiative. That will bring many smiles to children seeking care in area hospitals.
We enjoyed another savory Kurt Swersky Memorial BBQ hosted by Wakefield & Associates. No bear this year! Post-BBQ, we took our chances at the tables with the Inaugural Cocktails & Cupcakes Casino Night sponsored by ApprioHealth. Everyone was a winner!
Aaron Crane from HFMA kicked-off the sessions with news from the Association. Crane dared us all to move. All-American Al Wilson sponsored by BDO closed out our sessions. Timely presentations covering denials, revenue cycle, reimbursements, financial toxicity and a MAP award panel rounded out the education.
